El Paso, TX:  As the Chapin High School boys’ basketball team prepares for their Round of 16 game on Tuesday, 2 March 2021 against Mansfield Summit; they do so knowing that they have a coach who has walked this walk before.  A coach who has helped prepare other teams for this same journey and who has been a part of staffs that have been successful in advancing.

Coach Lewis took over the Chapin program 3 years ago after spending the previous 15 seasons as an assistant coach here in El Paso and Glendale, AZ (14 years as an assistant for Andress High School and 1 year as an assistant at Apollo High School).

Let’s take a look at Coach Lewis’ body of work over his18 years as a high school coach.

He has been a major part of 3 programs (Chapin, Andress, and Apollo).
