EL PASO, Texas — The regular season is complete. District champions have been crowned. Now, the postseason begins.

After evaluating district finishes, head-to-head results, late-season momentum, and overall body of work, here is the final BSR Girls High School Basketball Top 10 entering the playoffs.

#1 – Montwood High School (24-5, 12-0 District)

Undefeated district champions in 6A and riding a 15-game winning streak, Montwood enters the playoffs as the standard in the Borderland. The Rams navigated one of the toughest classifications and finished flawless in district play. Momentum and dominance meet at the right time.

#2 – Americas High School (27-4, 11-1 District)

Americas secured the outright 1-5A championship and owns victories over every other top team in El Paso, with just one slip-up in the city all season. Their backcourt defensive pressure defines their identity, and their résumé moves them ahead of Burges in the final rankings.

#3 – Burges High School (23-7, 10-0 District)

A perfect 10-0 district run and a 16-game winning streak highlight Burges’ consistency. They closed the regular season with a win over then-#8 Chapin and enter the bracket as one of the hottest teams in the region.

#4 – Franklin High School (21-10, 10-2 District)

Second place in 1-6A behind Montwood, Franklin has quietly gone 15-2 over its last 17 games and carries a four-game winning streak into the postseason. Competing nightly in 6A builds toughness, and the Cougars are in form at the right time.

#5 – Eastwood High School (22-8,  8-4 District)

Eastwood’s only losses to El Paso competition came against Montwood, Franklin (twice), and Americas. Against everyone else, they dominated — winning by an average of 20+ points per game in district play. The Troopers sit just outside the top tier but remain dangerous.

#6 – Bel Air High School (17-11, 9-3 District)

Bel Air is the only El Paso team to defeat Americas this season, snapping a 45-game winning streak. The Highlanders finished tied for second in 2-5A and close the season winning 9 of their last 11 games. Their signature win keeps them firmly inside the Top 10.

#7 – Mountain View High School (21-12, 9-1 District)

Mountain View appeared poised for an outright district title before a final-night loss to Riverside forced a shared championship. Despite the setback, the Lobos are 13-3 over their last 16 games and remain a strong 4A contender.

#8 – Irvin High School (20-9, 7-1 District)

District champions and one of the biggest turnaround stories in the Borderland. After finishing 10-19 last season and 5-20 the year before, Irvin posts a 20-win campaign and returns to playoff relevance with confidence.

#9 – Andress High School (17-12, 6-4 District)

Back in the rankings for the first time since January 12, Andress secures its first winning season since 2022-23. A steady close to the year and a third-place district finish earns the Eagles their place inside the Top 10.

#10 – Hanks High School (18-10, 9-3 District)

Tied for second in 2-5A, Hanks remained in the district championship race until the final matchup against Americas. A strong 10-5 finish keeps the Knights in the Top 10 heading into postseason play.
