Borderland Sports Report Voting Results For "The Borderland Sports Report Outstanding Player of the Year in Football"

El Paso, TX:  The results from the Fan Voting and the High School Head Coaches Voting are in.  We had 10,879 total fan votes and votes from 13 of the high school head coaches.  Here are the results:

     Fan Vote:            Karmelus Card, Jr (WR, El Dorado High School (5A)) with 45.3% of the total vote.

     Coache Vote:       Orion Olivas (QB, Eastlake High School (6A)) with a total of 60 points.

So these two votes will count 50% toward each candidates total score/ranking.  25% will come from their on field production and 25% from the BSR staff vote.  7 Finalist will be announced on Wednesday -- 9 December 2020 -- with the trophy presentation to be on Monday (14 December 2020) or Tuesday (15 December 2020).
