EL PASO, TEXAS -- Through 2 weeks, Bel Air High School's football team (2 - 0) has been pretty impressive.  Led by a trio of Juniors, the Highlanders have shown that they will have a say so in who wins the  5A 1 Region I District 1 title.  And through the first 2 games of the season, this trio has put up some pretty impressive numbers.

Juniors Noah "The Sheriff" Moreno -- QB; Zach "The Judge" Martinez, Jr. -- RB; and Christopher "The Marshal" Davis -- WR / DB have all been highly productive for the Highlanders.  And just like last week, this trio again brought some "West Texas Justice" this time to the Bulldogs of Socorro High School.

Led again by RB Zach Martinez, the Highlanders offense was impressive.  Martinez finished the game with 23 carries for 157 yards and 3 TD's.  Other offensive leaders for the highlanders:

     - Junior QB Noah Medina:  11-18 passing for 190 yards, 2 TD's, and 1 Int

     - Junior WR/DB Christopher Davis:  4 receptions for 124 yards and 1 TD

And not to be out done, the defense pitched a shutout.  Led by Junor Jacob Balderrama with 18 tackles and 1 QB hurry.  Other defensive leaders for Bel Air:

     - Freshman Jesus Lopez with 6 total tackles, 1 sac, and 1 fumble recovered

     - Senior Joshua Ortega with 9 total tackles

The Bulldogs (0 - 2) now will take a bi-week and look to get ready for Montwood High School in 2 weeks.

As for Bel Air, they look to continue their winning ways as they will take on the winless Chaparral Lobos (0 - 3).
